Franchising ??
Franchising is a method for partnership between two independent companies. The first, called franchisor, makes available to the second – the franchisee- the right to exploit, for a fee, a business formula of production system which he has developed in accordance with to pre-defined conditions which have been tried and tested.
For many years MFK Consulting has built a large experience in the world of production, distribution and service franchise.
> Production Franchise ??
The franchisor produces goods or services and sells them through his franchise network
The franchisees usually are prohibited from selling anything else, since the marketing concept is based upon a trademark (manufacturer of chocolates, clothes, cosmetics).
> Distribution Franchise ??
The franchisor distributes products via a network of franchise outlets. In this scenario, he plays the role either of central purchaser, offering franchisees the advantage of centralized stock purchase, or restricts his role to referencing suppliers defining list of products or services through agreements with suppliers.
In either case, the franchisors know-how is based upon access to optimum purchasing conditions, supply and sales outlet organization.
Examples are: food distribution, DIY, bookshops, telecommunications and IT.
> Service Franchises ??
This type of franchise implies offering services in accordance with the methods and instructions defined by the franchisor. These franchises are in certain cases combined with product sales (fast food/Hotel chains). For others, there are no products delivered (cleaning services maintenance services /temping services).
